Kusunoki's Garden of Gods anime reveals new trailer and premiere date

A corner of peace full of divine quirks will open its doors in the spring season. The production team of the anime adaptation of Kusunoki's Garden of Gods (Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei) published its second promotional video on Friday, confirming that the series will premiere on April 4.


Along with the announcement of the debut date, the production committee revealed four new cast members who will bring to life the divinities that inhabit the Kusunoki residence, thus expanding the universe of this story of fantasy and slice of life.



Kusunoki's Garden of Gods anime details


The series is being animated by the Juvenage studio, with direction from Jutarou Sekino and assistant director from Ryou Yamauchi. The composition of the series and the scripts are in charge of veteran Yuji Kobayashi.


Full voice cast


The new actors announced to play the gods and spiritual beings of the story are renowned veterans in the industry:


  • Tooru Ookawa as Reiki
    Renowned actor famous for voicing Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and Russell Fellow in Re:Zero.
  • Kouji Yusa as Ouryuu
    He is internationally known for playing Gin Ichimaru in Bleach and Renzo Shima in Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist).
  • Show Hayami as Kirin
    A legendary voice, famous for Sousuke Aizen in Bleach, Tokiomi Tohsaka in Fate/Zero, and Takahiro Kafuu in Is the Order a Rabbit? 
    (Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?).
  • Hiroki Takahashi as Houou
    Recognized by Katsuya Jonouchi in Yu-Gi-Oh!
    Duel Monsters and his participations in Dahlia in Bloom.




About the work


The story centers on Minato Kusunoki, who is left in charge of a terrifying house in the countryside that is supposedly overflowing with evil spirits. However, thanks to his extraordinary ability, he manages to purify the place completely. Far from being empty, the comfortable Kusunoki residence begins to attract a peculiar procession of unique gods. Now, Minato spends his days relaxing in the company of his new, divine spiritual neighbors.


The original light novel, written by Enju and illustrated by ox, began publication on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2021. Subsequently, it was acquired by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei label. The work also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Akira Anzai.
