Through this video trailer, which contrasts moments of everyday life with brutal sequences of clandestine combat, the main technical team and voice actresses were confirmed to reprise their lethal roles.

The animation production takes place in the facilities of the J.C.STAFF studio, maintaining the historical visual consistency of the franchise. About the franchise

The plot focuses on the dark side of Academy City, moving away from traditional magical and scientific conflicts to focus on the covert operations of the young women who make up the mercenary group "Item". The story delves into the workings of the tech city's underworld, exploring assassination, sabotage, and survival missions against other elite criminal factions.

The work is based on the universe created by author Kazuma Kamachi, who is world-renowned for writing the successful light novels A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun, whose global sales exceed 31 million copies in print. This new animated series will offer the first television adaptation dedicated exclusively to this squad, expanding the most violent and darkest corners of the acclaimed science fiction franchise.
