About
the work
The main
story follows the arduous training of Tsukasa and Inori, who decide to work
together to overcome the physical and emotional limits of the sport, with the
ultimate goal of reaching the highest level of world figure skating
competition. The animated franchise began its television run in January 2025,
recently airing its second season in early 2026.
The
original work, written and illustrated by mangaka Tsurumaikada,
began serialization in the pages of Kodansha's Afternoon magazine
in May 2020, publishing its fourteenth compilation volume at the end of January
this year. The excellence of its sports storytelling has earned it prestigious
accolades in the print manga industry, including the award for Best Overall
Manga at both the 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards and the
48th Kodansha Manga Awards.
