The
industry's most veteran and explosive magical girls are ready to reclaim their
throne with a heavy arsenal. To celebrate its two decades of existence, a
spectacular first trailer for the anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (Mahou
Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance) has been revealed,
confirming that this new project will land on Japanese television on July
4. And to make it clear that they are not coming to play, the committee
decided that their big return will be in a big way with a special one-hour
uninterrupted broadcast through networks such as Tokyo MX and BS11.

For this
ambitious installment, the original creator of the franchise, Masaki
Tsuzuki, once again takes up the pen to write the scripts and conceptualize
the new story. The director's chair will be occupied by Takayuki Hamana inside
the halls of the Seven Arcs studio, a team that already knows
perfectly how to handle the dogfights and the destructive magic of these
heroines after their work in the films of the saga. Visually, Issei
Aragaki takes on the dual role of character designer and chief
animation director, based on Shuichi Kawakami's original sketches.
Of course, an anniversary of this magnitude wouldn't be complete without their iconic vocals and melodies. The trailer allowed us to confirm that the legendary seiyuu Nana Mizuki not only reprises her role in the series, but also performs the official opening titled "CRIMSON BULLET", whose lyrics were written by herself to keep the tradition of the franchise alive. To close the episodes with a flourish, the ending will be called "Ephemeral" and will be performed by the singer Hina Aoki.

brought to the brink of ruin 30 years ago by a brutal invading alien species.
Today, humanity barely survives, ignoring the constant danger while the EXCEEDS
agency wages a clandestine war in the shadows.
In the
midst of this post-apocalyptic scenario, the plot takes us to the isolated
eastern island of Mizuho, where we meet Shiina Kuze, a skilled hunter dedicated
to eradicating invaders who only wants a quiet life with her sister Setsuna.
Needless to say, that peace won't last long when the magic cannons start firing
left and right.
