The
bureaucracy to reincarnate in another world has reached ridiculous levels, but
there is always someone willing to break the system. The production committee
of Yusha no Rokkotsu (whose very long original title
translates as Goddess: "What do you want to become when you
reincarnate in another world?" Me: "On a Hero's Rib")
released a new trailer and its main promotional poster. This surreal isekai comedy
will be part of the spring billboard, with its premiere set for April 7 on
Japanese television.
The fun preview allowed us to fully listen to the sound proposal that will accompany the episodes. Rock band Shukatsu Club will inject the opening beat with the opening track titled "Tensei Ganbo." For its part, the group shallm, ledby vocalist lia, will be in charge of closing each chapter with the song (ending) called "Nan-nan Desu ka?".

The
difficult task of animating this madness is a joint effort between Qzil.la studios
and S.o.K. In the director's chair is Yasufumi Soejima, working
on scripts supervised by Zipper Sojo. The eye-catching character
design is by Miki Matsumoto (who previously stood out in Summer
Time Rendering), based on the original animation sketches of mangaka Kagiji
Kumanomata (creator of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle).
All this backed by a large team of composers that includes Yuta Uraki, Kayo
Konishi and Yukio Kondo.
What is
the story about?
The premise
takes us to a divine plane where souls can choose the exact way in which they
wish to reincarnate in another world. However, there's a huge problem: the
coolest and most attractive options, such as being a "demon king" or
a "hero with broken powers and a harem," are so absurdly
popular that the waiting list lasts around 50,000 years.
Tired of
having to wait millennia, our ingenious protagonist makes a drastic decision to
skip the line: he chooses to reincarnate again and again by adopting the
strangest and most undesirable forms possible. From becoming a simple hermit
crab or a vegetable, to literally incarnating in the rib of a hero who is
already enjoying the happy ending of his own story.
About
the original work
