If there's
one collective trauma that unites all otakus in Latin America, it's the
infamous and eternal filler of the Naruto anime. Surviving
episodes of ninja ostriches and irrelevant missions while the manga was already
in the Fourth Ninja War required a will of steel. But now, the least thought-of
savior might be about to pull out his wallet to fix this historic mistake:
billionaire content creator MrBeast.
"I
pay for it, but please do it"
All this
uproar began this Wednesday on social networks. Seeing that the project
of THE ONE PIECE (the ambitious remake by WIT
Studio and Netflix that will condense the story of Eiichiro Oda without filler)
continues to advance steadily in 2026, MrBeast was made monumentally envious.
As a die-hard fan of the blond ninja, he couldn't contain himself and launched
a desperate plea into the void of the internet.
"CAN
WE PLEASE HAVE ONE FROM NARUTO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE? I WILL HELP FINANCE
IT," wrote
the entertainment mogul in capital letters, making it clear that it is not a
simple complaint, but a formal business proposal. Basically, he's crying out to
the Japanese industry to make a definitive version of Naruto that's
completely faithful to the manga, nipping in the bud all the chaff that the
original animation studio forced us to swallow for years.
An otaku
with too much money
It's no
secret that Jimmy Donaldson (the real name behind MrBeast) is an otaku at
heart. On multiple occasions he has stated that he grew up watching Naruto and
that Masashi Kishimoto's "never give up" message shaped his work
ethic to build his YouTube empire. In fact, his level of fanaticism is so high
that just last month he launched an official merchandise collaboration with the
franchise.
Although the creator did not specify how many millions of dollars he would be willing to throw on the screen or which animation studio he would like to take the reins (everyone prays that the animation flows better than in the fights against Pain), his simple message was enough to set the global community on fire. If One Piece is about to receive a modern, agile and to the point version for the new generations, the whole world agrees that Konoha's story deserves exactly the same VIP treatment.
