The Less Scary Ghosts Arrive in July with Let's Go Kaikigumi

Dealing with ghosts is already a problem, but having to organize them as if they were office employees is a nightmare on another level. The production committee behind Let's Go Kaikigumi finally dropped a new trailer for this paranormal comedy. And they are not going to make us wait too long, because they confirmed that mediocre scares and absurd situations will arrive on Japanese television this coming July 5.

To spice up all this supernatural disaster, studio C-Station took over the project under the direction of Yutaka Hirata. In order for the jokes and the format of the story to land well on screen, the supervision of the scripts fell into the hands of Mutsumi Ito, visually supported by the character designs of Yoshimitsu Yamashita. In the audio section, Akiyuki Tateyama will provide the rhythms in the background, and as a curious fact, the popular creator of horror and mystery content Uketsu will be in charge of interpreting the ending of the series.

About Let's Go Kaikigumi

The original work, which was born from the mind of mangaka Byu and was published on the Omocoro website until the beginning of this year, tells us about the misfortune of a super cowardly (and literally nameless) protagonist who one day runs into Mechako. This girl turns out to be the leader of the "Kaikigumi", an underground organization that is in charge of managing and administering the ghosts and monsters that supposedly scare humans.

By sheer bad luck, our fearful protagonist ends up muddy in the mission to revive this group. As a consequence, a lot of paranormal phenomena start happening around you constantly. The only detail is that these supposed "horror events" end up being totally harmless and ridiculous, giving way to a light comedy where the supernatural becomes the joke of every day.
