Cleaning,
cooking, and hunting boss-level monsters accidentally. That's basically the
routine of our new protagonist. The production committee finally released a new
trailer for the animated adaptation of Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an
All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! (Heroine? Seijo? Iie, All Works
Maid desu (ko)!), confirming in passing that this comedy of entanglements
and disproportionate magic will land on Japanese television this July.
And yes, the video makes it pretty clear that we'll see a lot of absurd
misunderstandings as she mops the floor with any threat that comes her way.
All this
animated madness is cooking inside the offices of the EMT Squared studio,
who already have some calluses handling light comedies and fantasy worlds. The
project will be in charge of adapting the original novels written by Atekichi and
illustrated by Yukiko, ensuring their broadcast through Japanese
networks such as Tokyo MX and BS Fuji, in addition to the streaming service d
Anime Store. While not many details were revealed about the directors in
charge, the announcement came with the highlight of the actresses and voice
actors who will carry the humor of the series.
About
Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid
If you are
already saturated with isekai where the protagonist has to save the world by
obligation, here things go the other way. The story follows Melody, a
reincarnated girl who has a single and very strange dream in life: to become
the ultimate maid, the best in history. Armed with a magical power so broken
that it is scary, she ends up working for the impoverished family of an earl.
The really
funny thing about it is that Melody lives in the clouds and is completely
clueless about her own level of power. To her, annihilating wild beasts, using
high-level forbidden magic, or resolving crises are just normal "cleaning
tricks" to leave the castle gleaming and make life a little easier for her
employers. Zero interest in defeating the Demon King or getting into dramatic
romances; She just wants to do her job well.
