About the work

The story follows Carolina, a young woman who has lived her entire life under the shadow of her prestigious family. With a father serving as the respected prime minister and an older prodigy sister destined to become the country's next Saint, Carolina has resigned herself to being considered the black sheep of the lineage. However, her monotonous existence is shattered when a royal order forces her to marry Edward, the fearsome prince of the neighboring empire. As she begins this new and dangerous life away from home, Carolina begins to unconsciously manifest an overwhelming amount of magical power that she did not know she possessed.

The original work, written by author Almond, began publication as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro portal. Subsequently, the publisher Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the printed volumes with illustrations by Yoshiro Ambe, officially concluding the story of the light novel with its fourth volume in June 2023. The franchise continues to expand through its manga adaptation, illustrated by Yona Etou, which has been in continuous serialization since April 2022.
