The new video teaser shows quick glimpses of the group of Chiaki, Aoi, Ena,  and Ayano Toki setting up camp and enjoying the campfire with the franchise's classic soothing music in the background. For its part, the visual image highlights Nadeshiko and Rin in front, accompanied by Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa, in addition to the mascots Chikuwa and the fluffy white Samoyed Hanpen.

The production presents several important changes to refresh the project. The Fly Pictures studio  takes on the job as the main animation studio for this installment. In the director's chair is Toshiyuki Nosaka, while Pierre Sugiura is in charge of the composition of the scripts. The character designs received a slight update by Ryota Ura to give them a modern touch without losing their essence.

In the musical section, Akiyuki Tateyama returns to compose the soundtrack. Singer Asaka will perform the opening theme, Eri Sasaki will be in charge of the ending theme and the group Kiminone will provide the general theme of the series.

What is Yuru Camp about?

Rin Shima is an introverted girl who enjoys solo camping. One day he bumps into Nadeshiko Kagamihara, an enthusiastic beginner who instantly falls in love with the outdoors. Together with their friends from the club, the girls explore different corners of Japan, share meals by the campfire and find in each outing that peace that only comes from disconnecting from the world for a while.

About the original work

The story was born as a manga written and illustrated by Afro, serialized in the pages of Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine. The first animated adaptation was released in 2018 and managed to unleash a real boom in camping hobbies, later inspiring a live-action version.

According to the author himself, this fourth season will thoroughly explore how Ema and Mei (who joined in the third season) end up fitting into the group while visiting new places and sharing small moments such as drinking hot chocolate or spotting wild animals.
