Dying, being resurrected with no memory of what
you were, and dedicating yourself to collecting the corpses of adventurers deep
in a dungeon is not exactly a common job. Blade & Bastard released
its teaser confirming the main cast and production team, with a premiere
scheduled for 2027.
The story takes place in the world of the
classic computer role-playing video game Wizardry, taking dark fantasy to
one of the most recognized terrains of gamer culture. Deep within an unexplored
dungeon, a corpse is discovered that shouldn't exist. After being
resurrected, Iarumas completely loses the memories of his life before
death, and spends his days delving into the dungeon to retrieve the bodies of
deceased adventurers. Can they be revived too, or will they end up reduced to
ashes on the altar? Either way, Iarumas charges your search fee. Although his
skills earn him a certain reluctant respect, he is also the object of contempt
for his cold and utilitarian attitude; the living keep their distance, and he
lives mainly with the dead. Everything changes when he meets Garbage, a
savage young swordswoman and the only survivor of a massacred group.
