Being
kicked out of your guild by a group of incompetents who don't understand your
potential is already a classic in Japanese fantasy. The animated adaptation
of The Laid Off Cheat Granting Mage made its production
official and confirmed that its premiere is scheduled for October 2026.
This great revelation was accompanied by its first promotional video and an
intriguing visual where we see the protagonists facing a mysterious presence
while an imposing dragon lurks in the background.
The video
trailer offers a dynamic journey through the unjust expulsion of our hero and
his fortuitous encounter with an S-rank winnower, also introducing the Blue
Crystal guild and a series of rather unstable characters that promise to break
with any shred of normality.
It is worth
mentioning a detail that the author himself pointed out with humor: the light
novel version and the manga version differ by approximately 99 percent.
That's not a typo. It's a warning and a hook at the same time.

About
The Laid Off Cheat Granting Mage
The Laid
Off Cheat Granting Mage is a light novel by Asa Rokushima with
illustrations by Gyomuyo Mochi and Kisui, with
over 1.3 million copies in circulation including digital
editions. The story follows Rain Garland, a wizard with a unique ability:
he can grant upgrade points to any object, not just weapons, and reverse those
effects at will. Despite that, he is unjustly expelled from his guild. The
encounter with Lily, an S-rank adventurer, marks the beginning of the great
adventure he always wanted to live, surrounded by characters whose eccentricity
and unpredictability are, according to the author, the true heart of the
series.
