The absolute kings of the mobile gaming market
are determined to conquer the otaku community as well. Through
a spectacular official statement, the production committee behind
the animated adaptation of the successful video
game Free Fire uncovered its best cards by revealing that
the series will be officially titled Free Fire Daybreak. To raise
the hype to the maximum, it was confirmed through a new
promotional image that this huge transmedia project will land on world
television during the spring 2027 season.
Far from being a simple meaningless battlefield
to collect weapons, the plot will transport us to the futuristic city of New
Dawn, a huge metropolis completely controlled by the powerful Horizon
Corporation. The story will follow in the footsteps of Kelly, a
sixteen-year-old teenager who ends up being forcibly involved in a shady experiment
called "Project Bloom". Awakening a mysterious ability dubbed Limit
Break, capable of unlocking any sealed power, our protagonist must join
forces with allies like Hayato and Moco to unravel the corporation's dark
conspiracy and try to remember the fragments of her own forgotten past.
A collaboration between entertainment giants
To ensure that this immense franchise receives
a dignified treatment on the small screen, the animation was commissioned
to the Candy Box studio, under the meticulous direction of
veteran Ken Takahashi. In the narrative section, Hotaru
Asafuji will be responsible for spinning the general scripts of the
series, while the music and sound ambience will be in charge of Sus4
Inc. This monumental adaptation is being co-produced directly by
corporate titans Kadokawa and Garena, ensuring
massive distribution so that fans on every continent can enjoy it
simultaneously.
