Studio Khara revealed on their Twitter account on Wednesday that the English logos for the Evangelion Rebuild films are hand-drawn by the director of the Evangelion films themselves, Hideaki Anno.

The idea was to extend the tip of the pen as much as possible; so he used an old pen from the Moyoco workstation. For Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance used crayon; for Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo used a Copic Sketch marker; finally for Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time used a calligraphy pen. The logos were made in the Khara studio.

Although not confirmed, Twitter users have also pointed out the similarities between some of the handwritten texts depicted in the anime; with the handwritten message for fans Anno released on April 17 regarding the Evangelion delay: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, suggesting that Anno may also have written those texts.
文字かわいいなって思ったけど、そういえばミサトさんの字は庵野監督の直筆なので実質ミサトさんの直筆 pic.twitter.com/5XcR9HuwaL— bironist (@bironist) April 17, 2020
When Misato sent Shinji a photo of herself with an arrow pointing at her cleavage saying "Look at this," it was in Hideaki Anno's handwriting all along.これですねw pic.twitter.com/mBmbqImSpd— おい、雑種 (@dy3n0JJyfHGHhUo) April 22, 2020
