The May issue of Shogakukan publisher Betsucomi magazine revealed that author Io Sakisaka (Ao Haru Ride) will release a new one-shot titled Otome no Itari, the next issue of the magazine, on May 13.
Sakisaka is the author of the Strobe Edge manga, which was published in the pages of the Shueisha publisher Bessatsu Margaret magazine between 2007 and 2009. The publisher compiled the work in ten volumes and the manga inspired a live-action film that premiered in Japan in March 2015.
In addition, the author also wrote the manga Ao Haru Ride, which was published in a total of 13 compilation volumes and which inspired an anime adaptation and a live-action film released in 2014.
Recently, his manga Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare, which was published between June 2015 and May 2019, is inspiring a live-action film and an animated film. The first will be released on August 14, while the second is indefinitely delayed by the current health situation Japan is going through.
