How important is it to stay home in the face of the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic? Enough for PlayStation to make an altruistic gift to its users!

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced from its PlayStation Blog that, in order to encourage PlayStation 4 owners to stay home ... it will give away the Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection video games! It is an initiative called "Play at Home", and there is no trick: once downloaded, they belong to whoever has them indefinitely.

This gift will be available on the PlayStation Store from April 15 at 8:00 p.m. (Pacific time) and until the night of May 5, 2020.

SIE indicated in its space: “Play at Home has two components. First, offer free games to help keep the community entertained at home; and second, to establish a fund to help small independent studios that may experience difficulties continue to build amazing experiences for all players. ”

Additionally, PlayStation reported that they have created a $ 10 million relief fund to support their independent developer partners, to withstand the economic onslaught of the current pandemic. Bravo!

"We are deeply grateful to everyone who practices physical distancing and take seriously our responsibility as a home entertainment platform, so we ask our community to continue to support this safe option and the need for Play at Home," stated the Japanese brand. Does this mean that they will give away more content after May?
