Given collaborates with a fundraising campaign for ThePlayHouse

Since several businesses are looking to reopen their branches in Japan, the company ThePlayHouse (which made a cameo in the anime Given), a popular music brand in Machida, launched a funding campaign at CampFire with a goal of 5 million yen to correct the financial expenses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 5 million yen (approximately $ 47,000) that is sought to be raised will be used to cover the rent of the establishments during the period of forced closure due to preventive measures in Japan, as well as the payment of public services and workers' wages.

To the initiative, the anime adaptation of the Given manga has been added, offering a shirt designed by Natsuki Kizu, the author of the original manga as a benefit by donating 7,000 yen (about $ 66). The addition of this benefit boosted donations in the last 24 hours, with the campaign reaching 142% of its goal. Donations will remain open until next Sunday with various benefits such as T-shirts, lots of special tickets to exchange for products at the re-opening and half-year and full-year memberships.

Musicians and bands have also joined in helping the company, such as Luna Sea, Gacharic Spin and Shingoman.

About Given

The manga is published in Cheri + magazine, and publisher Shinshokan published the fifth compilation volume on April 1. The anime adaptation premiered in July 2019 and the production of an animated film is confirmed to be released on May 16.

However, the release date was postponed as an effect of the new coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19), and the new release date has yet to be announced.
