These are the top 10 anime of Kyoto Animation according to Japanese users

Japanese entertainment website Netorabo launched a survey involving 9,521 of its users to choose their favorite animated series produced by animation studio Kyoto Animation and these were the top 10 most voted titles:

10. Kyoukai no Kanata


Synopsis: One day the student Kanbara Akihito discovers one of his classmates, Kuriyama Mirai, about to jump from the roof of the school. After Akihito tries to convince her, Mirai stabs her with a sword made from her own blood, but is surprised to find that Akihito is nothing but a hybrid of human and "yōmu", a race of supernatural creatures. After learning that Mirai is a Spirit World Warrior and the last survivor of her clan, the lives of both intertwine forever.

9. Nichijou


Synopsis: The series follows the lives of a group of students and their school. Several absurd elements appear, such as a robotic girl created by an 8-year-old scientist, a boy who drives a goat to go to school with his butler, a girl who can get guns out of nowhere, a talking cat, and an old man director who is an expert fighter. Despite this, students continue to lead normal lives.

8. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (2006)


Synopsis: Kyon is a cynical and sarcastic teenager. The first day of her freshman year of high school is filled with hopes for a normal school experience, hopes that fade immediately after meeting the beautiful and eccentric Haruhi Suzumiya. Haruhi is athletic, bright, and completely bored with life. Synopsis: Clannad tells the story of Okazaki Tomoya, a melancholic third-year high school student. 5. K-ON!


Synopsis: The base story focuses on four girls attending their first year of high school, where we have Yui Hirasawa and her impatience in finding a club to participate in. On the other hand we have Ritsu Tainaka (drummer) who proposes to his best friend Mío Akiyama (bassist), to join the light music club of the institute together, but unfortunately they find out that it is close to being closed because all its members they had finished graduating the previous year.

Because the minimum allowed to approve a club is 4 members, Ritsu and Mío desperately try to get the club not to be closed, so in the meantime they will be able to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki who indicates that he only knows how to play keyboard. This means that it only takes one more member to have the club running again and it is here that after a long wait Yui finally decides on a club, precisely the one with light music and with this saving him from extinction. Unfortunately, the club requires the key piece of every musical band: the guitarist, and Yui has no experience with any instrument.

4. Hyouka


Synopsis: It tells the story of Hotarou Oreki and her three friends who belong to the Classical Literature Club, Club to which the Sister of Hotarou belonged in her student time. Synopsis: The story unfolds around the "Auto Memory Dolls"; people who had originally been hired by a scientist named Dr. Orland to assist his wife Mollie in the task of writing novels, and who then began to be rented to others who required his services. Today, the term refers to the writing industry for others. The story follows Violet Evergarden as she attempts to rejoin society after the end of the war, and her search for meaning in life, now that she no longer belongs to the military.
