Yesterday wo Utatte anime has already finished production

Animator and character designer Junichirou Taniguchi confirmed via his Twitter account that production of the anime adaptation of Kei Toume's manga Yesterday wo Utatte is now complete.
In the publication, the animator mentions that the production of the series has already been finished since last year, and expressed his concern about the series that were still in production at this time. This means that the series will not experience delays in broadcasting new episodes, something that has been happening frequently due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Japan.


The series premiered on April 4 and will have a total of twelve episodes plus six episodes that will only be available via streaming. For his part, Toume began publishing the manga in Business Jump magazine in 1997, and later moved the publication to Grand Jump magazine in November 2011. The play ended in June 2015, and publisher Shueisha compiled the story. in eleven volumes.
