Golden Kamuy inspires prisoner-based horror videos

0
The stories about the prisoners in the manga written and illustrated by Satoru Noda, Golden Kamuy are known for their macabre details, to the point that they could be considered as horror stories. This is exactly why a recent series of videos published by the Shueisha publishing house have contextualized these stories in a Japanese horror format.

Three videos have been uploaded to date, each narrated by professional horror narrator Junji Inagawa. It should be emphasized that they contain spoilers for the central work. The first story is titled "Bijin Okami Hotel" and focuses on Ienaga Kano.

The second story is titled "Nishin-ryou Renzoku Satsuji Jiken" and focuses on Henmi Kazuo.

The third and last story to date is titled "Kurayami no Touzoku" and focuses on Toni Anji.

For its part, Noda has published the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine since August 2014. The publisher published the twenty-first compilation volume on March 24.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Geno Studio under the direction of Hitoshi Nanba and scripts written by Noboru Takagi, released in April 2018. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in October 2018, and the production of A third season is confirmed to premiere in October this year.
