It was announced that the panel of the character Aoba Suzukaze from the manga series written and illustrated by Shoutarou Tokunou, New Game! which has been located at Demachiyanagi Station in Kyoto Prefecture since 2015, it will be replaced by a new panel of the same character on June 27. The original panel is displayed on the right, while the new panel is displayed on the left.





This change is planned as part of the “Kirara x Kirara Project” project, which consists of a collaboration between Manga Time Kirara magazines from Houbunsha publishing house and Eizan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. The new Tokunou illustration will be installed next June 27 aside the previous panel, and the latter will remain until August 31, so that fans and tourists can take pictures with both versions.

Tokunou has published the manga in Manga Time magazine Kirara Carat of the Houbunsha publisher since January 2013. The publisher published the tenth compilation volume on January 27. The manga inspired an adaptation to a video game released in Japan in January 2017 and developed by 5pb for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita consoles.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Doga Kobo Studios, directed by Yoshiyuki Fujiwara and scripts written by Fumihiko Shimo, and released in July 2016. A second season featuring the same production team premiered. in July 2017.

Synopsis of New Game!

Inspired by character designs from a particular game when she was young, Aoba Suzukaze, a high school graduate, begins working as a character designer at the video game developer house, Eagle Jump. As she works modeling and designing characters for developing games, she will begin to network with her coworkers in the design department, as well as with members from other departments.
