A new promotional image for the third season of the project was published on the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Satoru Noda, Golden Kamuy. The series has its premiere scheduled for next October.
Noda has published the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine since August 2014. The publisher published the twenty-first compilation volume on March 24.
The work inspired a twelve episode anime adaptation produced by Geno Studio under the direction of Hitoshi Nanba and scripts written by Noboru Takagi, released in April 2018. A second season of twelve episodes premiered in October 2018.
Synopsis of Golden Kamuy
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian-Japanese War veteran Saichi Sugimoto, nicknamed "The Immortal", is participating in the postwar "Gold Rush". It turns out that part of a map is found that could direct you to the mythical gold fortune of the Ainu tribe long hidden, so you embark on your search.
But of course Sugimoto is not the only one looking for such a treasure! And they would all kill for any clues that lead to it! Faced with the harsh conditions of harsh cold weather, ruthless criminals and corrupt Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto must use all his skills and luck to survive, with the help of a girl from the Ainu tribe named Asirpa.
