In the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Takusu Karasuma, No Guns Life, it was confirmed that the second season of the project will premiere on July 9 from its first episode.
The series suspended its broadcast in mid-April due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the production of new episodes. For his part, Karasuma began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in August 2014. The publisher published the ninth compilation volume on September 24. The first season of the anime adaptation premiered in October 2019.

- Naoyuki Itou (Overlord, Kanon, Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai) is in charge of directing the anime at Madhouse Studios.
- Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, Kino no Tabi, Hina Logi) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.

- Hiroyuki Sawano's vocal project SawanoHiroyuki [nZk] collaborates with MAN WITH A MISSION guitarist Jean-Ken Johnny to perform the opening track titled “Chaos Drifters”.
- The rock band This is Japan will perform the closing song titled "New World".
Synopsis of No Guns Life
After the war, many "Extends" inhabit the city now, people whose bodies were modified to become dangerous weapons.
Inui Juuzou is one of them, and has no memories of his past life and body before his head was turned into a weapon. Stranger still, his gun-head cannot be manipulated by him, but only someone behind him can pull his trigger.
Juuzou then decides to make a living investigating cases related to the “Extends” in the city, assisted by Mary, an intelligent girl whom he has decided to protect.
