Kimetsu no Yaiba is the best-selling franchise in the first half of 2020

The Oricon website published a ranking of franchises with the highest amount of income (estimates) for the first half of 2020, between December 23, 2019 and June 15, 2020.


The listing emphasized that sales earnings for manga compilation volumes, Blu-ray / DVD volumes, light novel volumes, and movie box office earnings have been excluded from this earnings estimate.
  • 24,386,318,242 yen (approximately $ 227 million).
  • One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda: 3,338,351,595 yen (approximately $ 31 million).
  • Go-Toubun no Hanayome, written and illustrated by Negi Haruba: 2,516,010,637 yen (approximately $ 23.4 million).

About Kimetsu no Yaiba

Koyoharu Gotouge began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016 and May 2020. The publisher published the 20th compilation volume on May 13. The play inspired a 26-episode anime adaptation released in April 2019, and produced by Ufotable Studios. Additionally, the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen is confirmed, which will adapt the "Arc of the Infinite Train" and will be released on October 16.
