Coolkyousinnjya has published the manga in Futabasha publisher's Monthly Action magazine since May 2013, and the publisher published the ninth compilation volume in November 2019.
The play inspired an anime adaptation of thirteen episodes produced by Kyoto Animation studios, directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto and scripts written by Yuka Yamada, released in January 2017. A second season is confirmed, however, from the attack to the first Kyoto Animation building where director Yasuhiro Takemoto lost his life, no new details have been revealed.
