The official YouTube channel, Pokémon Kids TV, published an animated short film titled "POKÉTOON: Scraggy and Mimikyu". The four-minute video shows a huge influence on America's comic strips, such as The Looney Tunes.
The episode titled "Chase the Beans" shows Scraggy's escapades as he tries to collect all the seeds on the train. He runs into Mimikyu, who loves Scraggy very much but has an awkward way of showing it. The episode has no dialogue, so this animation can be appreciated by fans around the world. For its part, the Pokémon Kids TV channel was launched in 2019, and focuses on the production of videos for children.
Production team
The short film was directed by Taku Inoue (Man With a Mission: The Animation), it was produced by Yoshiyuki Koie, who is also the producer of the Pokémon: Wings of Twilight series. The animation had the participation of Miyako Makio, Ryousuke Senbo, Shinichi Suzuki and Shuuya Yoshisato. Tsutomu Ikeda was in charge of drawing the scenarios and Kei Tsuda composed the soundtrack.
