The original story plan was written by Sakurako Kimino, who also wrote some short stories featured in the magazine. The original character designs and illustrations were made by Yuuhei Murota.

Starting in August 2010, popularity polls were conducted on the revealed characters, influencing idol positions in music videos produced by Sunrise Studios. For example, the girl who ranked first in popularity polls would earn the center position in the front row in the choreography for the upcoming music video. Other polls were conducted to determine other aspects of idols, such as her hair styles. and their changing rooms.


Starting with the November 2010 issue of the magazine, readers were given the difficult task of choosing a name for the idol group. After the editors analyzed the proposals, the five most popular were selected and voted on one last time, with the name μ’s (muse) being selected. A similar survey was conducted for the names of the sub-units, which resulted in Printemps, BiBi and Lily White. The group was made up of the following voice actresses:

The project was widely touted for its thirteen-episode anime adaptation, produced by Sunrise Studios, directed by Takahiko Kyougoku and scripts written by Jukki Hanada, released in January 2013; and followed by another thirteen episode season premiered in April 2014.
