According to the statement, the production committee cited numerous meetings in which prevention measures in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan were discussed, as well as the restrictions imposed by the government in the face of the health contingency. Given all these factors, it was finally decided to postpone the premiere indefinitely, and the new date will be announced as soon as it is decided.
For their part, Donuts released the original Tokyo 7th Sisters game for iOS and Android devices in February and November 2014, respectively. The franchise has previously inspired several adaptations to manga and novels. The game inspired an animated music video titled "ts7 Longing for summer Again and Again ~ Harukaze ~" as "Part 1" of an animation project in 2017.

- Yosuke Kikuchi is adapting the original character designs to animation and also serves as animation director.
- Yoshiaki Dewa is composing the soundtrack under the musical production of Victor Entertainment.
About Tokyo 7th Sisters
In this game, players take on the role of a new manager in Studio 777 (Three Seven) and must recruit promising young idols. The game mixes and focuses on both the main storyline and character development with rhythm mechanics. Idols compete to win the admiration of fans and develop their skills through original songs from the game.
