During the Anime Expo Lite event, the company Bushiroad announced that it will launch the D4DJ Groovy Mix rhythm game for smartphones globally in English.
The Donuts company is developing the rhythm game, which is scheduled to release for mobile devices in Japan this fall, although a pre-development version was released last February.
Following the BanG Dream franchises! and Revue Starlight, D4DJ (short for Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) is Bushiroad's new multimedia project. This project includes live performances by DJs, an anime, and a series of video games. The project incorporates new songs as well as remixes of popular music.
Furthermore, the anime adaptation is named D4DJ First Mix, and is being produced by Sanzigen Studios, under the direction of Seiji Mizushima and with a release date not yet revealed.
