Rooster Teeth begins massive RWBY content block to artists

The creators of the MikuMikuDance project on YouTube, based on the Rooster Teeth Productions franchise, RWBY, reported that they have been receiving notifications of Cease & Desist (an order to stop an activity) from the company. According to users, "they seem to want to cling to what little relevance they have left, with their intellectual property riddled with their stupidity of wanting to adapt to new trends in the genre."


Both creators of content suitable for all audiences and creators of content NSFW are said to have been receiving these notifications. In fact, the content creator of the MikuMikuDance channel, W&S MMD, tried to contact Rooster Teeth's customer service, to find out why his videos were being blocked, only to receive a notification from Cease & Desist in his Patreon account. :


Subsequently, the company itself communicated directly with the content creator, mentioning that the Patreon platform contacted them informing them that a certain user had been using the RWBY brand name and logo without the company's written consent. This was Cease & Desist's notification for their Patreon account.

Later, a second notification from Cease & Desist was sent to completely erase their YouTube channel.


Additionally, ABF MMD, another content creator on YouTube, was also the target of a massive blocking of his videos on his channel of almost 100,000 subscribers.
