Hell Teacher: Jigoku Cloud Sensei Adds Takaya Kuroda to Its Cast

This Thursday, the production team of the new animated adaptation of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Cloud", original work by Shō Makura and Takeshi Okano, revealed that renowned actor Takaya Kuroda will join the cast as the voice of the monster Hatamonba. His appearance is scheduled for episode five, which will air on July 23 at 5:45 p.m. (Spanish time).



Previously, on July 3, the addition of Yū Kobayashi, who played the "human body model" in the third episode, aired on July 9, was also announced.


A broadcast that revives the nineties spirit


The anime debuted on July 2 with a special one-hour broadcast for its first two episodes, within TV Asahi's new programming block titled "IM Animation W." Subsequent chapters premiere every week at 5:45 p.m. (Spanish time). The series will be split into two cours, the second of which will arrive in January 2026.


The series has a wide international distribution. In Latin America, it can be enjoyed through Anime Onegai. In Asia (except Japan and China) it is streamed on Netflix. In addition, it is available on the It's Anime YouTube channel in select territories such as the United States and Canada. In Europe, it arrives through aniverse (German-speaking territories) and Anime Generation (Italian-speaking areas). In Taiwan, it can be seen on Chunghwa Telecom's MOD and Hami Video.


Main cast confirmed


Ryōtarō Okiayu leads the cast as Meisuke Nueno, better known as "Cloud." To this are added:

  • Aya Suzaki como Kyoko Inaba, aplicada y confiable.
  • Tomoyo Kurosawa como Miki Hosokawa, curiosa y traviesa.

  • Shiho Kokido como Makoto Kurita, uno de los alumnos más pequeños.
  • Aya Endō as Ritsuko Takahashi, a teacher in class 5-2.
  • Ai Kakuma as Yukime, a mysterious young woman who claims to be Cloud's fiancée.
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Kyosuke Tamamo, a handsome villager.

Experienced production team


Yasuyuki Ōishi, known for his work on Stars Align, directs the series at Studio KAI. He is accompanied by Fumito Yamada as assistant director (Hell's Paradise). The script is in charge of Yoshiki Ōkusa (Butt Detective), while Yū Yoshiyama (Dragon Ball Super) designs the characters. The music is composed by Evan Call (Violet Evergarden). The opening theme, "P0WER-AkuryoTaisan-", is performed by SKS- ZIGZAG, while Chilli Beans. is in charge of the ending "Sunflower".


A classic that is back with a vengeance


The original work was published between 1993 and 1999 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, with a total of 31 volumes and more than 29 million copies in circulation. It was reissued in 2006 in a 20-volume version. This manga spawned a television series between 1996 and 1997, followed by OVAs between 1998 and 1999, three films, and a live-action series in 2014. Now, with this new animated version, Jigoku Cloud Sensei promises to conquer new generations of fans of mystery and the supernatural.
