The Show By Rock franchise !! announced that they will be holding their first massive online music event titled “SHOW BY ROCK !! 3969 Festival 2020 ~ 6 (ROCK) Jikanda Yo Zen Rokka Shuugo ~ ”next September 27.
The event will last six hours and will feature hosts such as Marie Ueda, Eri Inagawa (voiced by Cyan Hijirikawa), Ruriko Noguchi (voiced by Ailane), Hikaru Toono (voiced by Howan), Yuuko Natsuyoshi (voiced by Himeko Mashima), Misaki Watada (Delmin's voice) and Aya Yamane (Ruhuyu's voice).【ライブ開催決定🎸】— SHOW BY ROCK!!アニメ公式 (@SB69A) (@SB69A) July 30, 2020

A part of the event will be live performance, followed by a talk show with the voice actresses and a talk show with the production team. In addition, some special programs will be distributed for free on the franchise's official channel during the transitions between each stage of the event.
Finally, as a summary and at Japan Standard Time, the event will begin at 3:00 p.m. with live performances, at 6:00 p.m. free live programs will be broadcast on YouTube, at 7:30 p.m. hours will be the interview program with the cast, and at 21:00 the interview program with the staff.

For its part, Show By Rock !! is originally a rhythm game for smartphones developed and distributed by Geechs in conjunction with Sanrio. The game was released in July 2013 for iOS devices and in June 2014 for Android devices. Within the game, the user can choose between 26 different bands, each with its own musical style and cards to choose from. Players will use teams of up to five cards, and a supporting character, to finally participate in musical battles.
The installment has inspired four anime adaptations. The first two were made by Bones Studios, and in fact, it was the first night anime based on a Sanrio franchise. The first season aired in Japan between April and June 2015, followed by a second season aired between October and December 2016.
The third season was animated by Kinema Citrus studios, and aired between January and March 2020. Finally, a fourth season that will include all the characters presented to date and will be titled Show By Rock !! Stars !! It is currently in production and no new details have been announced.
