On the official site for a new live-action film based on the Youkai Ningen Bem franchise, titled Youkai Ningen Bela, a new promotional video of the project was posted.
The feature film is scheduled to premiere in theaters in Japan on September 11 and will tell a completely original story. For its part, Youkai Ningen Bem is a 26-episode original anime produced by Daichi Douga Studios, which premiered in Japan in 1968 and has inspired multiple new projects since then, such as a remake released in April 2006, a live series -action in October 2011 and a live-action movie in December 2012.
A third animated series titled BEM featured twelve episodes produced by LandQ Studios, directed by Yoshinori Odaka and scripts written by Atsuhiro Tomioka, released in July 2019.
