Soborou explained through his Twitter account that since the serialization of the manga began, he has experienced health problems such as hearing loss and worsening tendonitis. When medical problems worsened, Soborou had to rest while serialization continued. However, earlier this year, problems began to make it increasingly difficult for the author and his work, and the days when he could no longer continue working also increased.After consulting with the editorial department, the decision to pause the manga indefinitely was taken.
Soborou began publishing the manga in Kodansha publisher's Weekly Young Magazine in April 2017. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume on May 7.
The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Tear Studio, directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro and scripts written by Yuuki Takabayashi, released in April 2019.
