Synopsis of Umibe no Étranger

Three years ago, Hashimoto Shun, a rising gay novelist, meets Chibana Mio, a very quiet high school student, in Okinawa. Mio has lost both of his parents and is often seen sitting on a bench until very late, looking out over the ocean near Shun's home. They begin to get closer to each other, but Mio must suddenly leave the island, to pursue his dreams ...

Three years later, Mio returns to Okinawa: "I've been thinking a lot these last three years ... Even if it's a man, the one I love is Shun." Can these two finally be together?
