Tonikaku Kawaii inspires a marriage proposal in China

The success of the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata, Tonikaku Kawaii, in China is undeniable, with the series dominating the ranking of reproductions accumulated on the Chinese platform Bilibili, it was only a matter of time before it began to influence the social environment of its viewers.


Thus, in a popular Japanese forum, a video published by the user of Bilibili, Xiao Kai, was shared with more than 1.13 million subscribers to the platform, who published a special video in which he narrated how the series inspired him to dare and prepare his marriage proposal to his partner. At the time of writing, the video has more than 420,000 views.


The series premiered on October 3 in Japan and the number of episodes has not yet been confirmed. Hata began publishing the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in February 2018, and the publisher published the eleventh compilation volume on May 18 and the twelfth on August 18.
