Feminist: ‘Nezuko from Kimetsu no Yaiba represents all prejudices against women’

In a Twitter profile, which in her description identifies herself as a feminist, a publication was made on January 5 in which she commented on her opinion about the character Nezuko Kamado, after having seen the animated adaptation of Kimetsu no Yaiba.

According to her opinion, she Nezuko represents all current prejudices against women. With a bamboo in her mouth, Nezuko is unable to speak; She travels all the time on the back of her brother Tanjirou Kamado, which would represent that the woman is destined to be the housekeeper and, finally, Nezuko does not go out during the day, which for her is a reference that women should not expose yourself to society.

The post went viral on social media in Japan, and one of the responses highlighted the character Muzan Kibutsuji, the franchise's villain, in the female portrayal of him as the leader of the demon organization. On the other hand, for the fans of the series, the conditions that led Nezuko to have to comply with all the characteristics highlighted by the author of the publication are evident. On the other hand, it should be mentioned that at the beginning of 2020 there was another feminist who went viral when she pointed out that she stopped watching the series after the appearance of Mitsuri Kanroji, the Pillar of Love, whose attitude and design made it impossible for her to continue watching the series .
