A press release announced that the upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Scarlet Nexus, will also have an anime adaptation scheduled to premiere during the upcoming Summer-2021 season (July-September). The Funimation platform will handle its distribution in the West and Sunrise Studios will handle the production.
The video game is scheduled to launch on June 25 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Microsoft Windows consoles. According to its description, Scarlet Nexus is an action role-playing video game with a third-person view where players take control of Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall, who are given the mission to defend the city of New Himuka from creatures known as " the others".
