Following
the airing of today's final episode, production on a second season of
the anime adaptation of the manga "Blue Box (Ao no Hako)" was
officially confirmed. The press release didn't reveal a scheduled
premiere date, so we'll have to wait for future updates to find out when this
popular romance story will return.

- The anime adaptation of
" Blue Box (Ao no Hako)" premiered in Fall-2024
(October-December) , with a total of 25 episodes. The manga,
by Kouji Miura , began publication in April 2021 in
Weekly Shonen Jump and appears to be nearing its conclusion.
- Kouji Miura is also the author
of other manga such as “ Sensei, Suki desu. ” and “ Aozora
Rubber ”, while “ Blue Box ” is based on a
one-shot he published in 2020.
- The main cast consists of Shouya
Chiba , Akari Kitou , and Kana
Ichinose , while the film is directed by Yuuichirou Yano
at Telecom Animation Film Studios , with scripts
written by Yuuko Kakihara , and animation designs and
direction by Miho Tanino .
- The plot follows Taiki Inomata,
a high school student who dreams of competing in the badminton national
championships. He lives with Chinatsu Kano, a talented basketball
player for whom he feels special affection, and trains hard to become her
rival and win her heart.
