Last March 6, it went viral in Japan that some civil groups have protested against the Ochikobore Fruit Tart (Dropout Idol Fruit Tart) franchise. "The city of Koganei, Tokyo Prefecture, is trying to revitalize its economy by collaborating with an anime that cannot be shown to children because it shows middle and high school girls in their underwear!" the protesters claim on their banners.
The user of the original post also shared some of the leaflets that were given to him by the protesting group, adding, "I was able to get these copies of the leaflets they are handing out, so you can see the commitment they are offering in this protest."

In the leaflets, the protesters compiled some of the stills singled out as "inappropriate in a series that seeks to revitalize the city."
The series aired in Japan during the Fall-2021 season and had a total of twelve episodes. Hamayumiba, meanwhile, began publishing the manga in Houbunsha Publishing House's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in November 2014. The publisher released the fourth compilation volume in October 2019 and the fifth one last September 25.
