The Kadokawa publishing house reported that the manga adaptation of the light novels written by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki, Eromanga Sensei, by Rin, will end in the next issue of Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine, scheduled for next December 27. Fushimi and Kanzaki have published the light novels through Kadokawa Publishing's Dengeki Bunko imprint since December 2013, and have twelve volumes published to date, with the twelfth being released in November 2019 in Japan. Rin's manga adaptation has been published through Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine since May 2014.


The play inspired a twelve-episode animated adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures Studios, directed by Ryohei Takeshita and scripts written by Tatsuya Takahashi, released in April 2017. A two-episode OVA was released in January 2019.
