Yuuki's historical work on the legendary Hōjō Sōun is nearing its conclusion
after more than six years of publication.
Shogakukan
has confirmed that veteran author Masami Yuuki 's *Shinkurō,
Hashiru!* historical manga has begun its final arc .
The announcement came via the listing for the 20th compiled book volume ,
which will be published in Japan on July 11, 2025 .

based on true events
The work
narrates the life of Ise Shinkurō , a daimyō of the Sengoku
period who would later be known as Hōjō Sōun , a key figure in
the unification of eastern Japan. The manga masterfully blends historical
drama and action elements , faithfully depicting the power struggles
and military strategies of feudal Japan.

*Shinkurō,
Hashiru!* began serialization in Shogakukan's Monthly Spirits magazine in January
2018 . The series was later moved to Weekly Big Comic
Spirits in January 2020 , where it continues to run today.
Volume 19 was released on March 12, 2025 .

Yuuki is known for titles such as *Tetsuwan Birdy Evolution* (2008–2012),
a sequel to his successful *Tetsuwan Birdy* . Although the
manga adaptations of the latter have not been officially published in North
America, animated versions did reach the West thanks to companies such as Funimation and Central
Park Media . Additionally, Viz Media distributed part
of his work *Mobile Police Patlabor* .
