Kodansha 's Nakayoshi magazine  has confirmed that the Ore to Mō Ichido, First Love manga —also known as Be My First Love Again— will conclude in the next issue, which is due to ship in June 2025 .

This story, written and illustrated by mangaka Narumi Hasegaki , premiered in the February 2023 issue of the magazine, published in December 2022. Since then, it has become one of the most prominent works of the shoujo genre in the magazine, winning over readers with its focus on reuniting with first love .

A love story that seeks a second chance

Ore to Mō Ichido, First Love follows a couple separated by time and fate who reunite and face the prospect of starting over. The title explores unresolved feelings and the difficulties of rekindling a romance that seemed over, offering a narrative charged with emotion and nostalgia.

The publisher released the fourth compiled volume on March 13 , and the fifth and final volume is scheduled to hit bookstores on June 13 , local time in Japan (UTC+9), which is equivalent to the early morning of the same day in Spain (UTC+2) .

An author with experience in romance and action

Narumi Hasegaki is known for other works in Kodansha's catalogue. In 2015 , she published A Springtime with Ninjas (Hana to Shinobi) , an action-packed romantic comedy that ended in 2017 after four volumes. Later, between 2018 and 2022, she developed the manga Gokutsuma Days ~Gokudō Sankyōdai ni Semaretemasu~ , a story about a young woman caught between three yakuza brothers, which closed with 15 compiled volumes.

Furthermore, Hasegaki began his career at a young age, debuting with the manga Tonegawa Ririka no Lab Story in 2014, when he was only 17 years old.

A farewell that leaves a mark

With the conclusion of Ore to Mō Ichido, First Love , Hasegaki closes another chapter in her career as an author of stories full of romance and difficult decisions. Fans can enjoy the conclusion in the June issue of Nakayoshi magazine , available in Japan from June 3rd .

Will the protagonists be able to reconcile their past and embark on a new beginning? The answer will be coming soon.
