Publishing label MF Bunko J released a new promotional video for Yuu Kamiya's written and illustrated light novels No Game No Life . The video confirms that the literary franchise has surpassed 6 million cumulative circulating copies, including digital copies and manga adaptations, but has not yet revealed the release of the eleventh volume.

On the other hand, Yuu Kamiya has published the light novels through the Kadokawa publishing house MF Bunko J imprint since April 2012, with ten volumes published to date. A manga adaptation of the hand of his wife, Mashiro Hiiragi , has been in publication since January 2013.

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Madhouse Studios , directed by Atsuko Ishizuka and scripts written by Jukki Hanada , released in April 2014. The feature film No Game No Life: Zero featured the same production team. and it was released in Japan on July 15, 2017. Since then the franchise has not had any new updates on new projects, and the hiatus of more than three years since the publication of the tenth volume of the light novels does not help much in this regard.

No Game No Life Synopsis

No Game No Life is a surreal comedy that follows Sora and Shiro, hikikomori brothers and the online gamer duo behind the legendary username "Blank." They see the real world as another lousy game; However, a strange email challenging them to a game of chess changes everything: the brother and sister plunge into an otherworldly realm where they meet Tet, the god of games.

The mysterious god welcomes Sora and Shiro to Disboard, a world where all forms of conflict, from petty disputes to the fate of entire countries, are resolved not through war, but through high-stakes games. This system works thanks to a fundamental rule in which each party must bet something that it considers to be of equal value to the other party's bet. In this strange land where the very idea of humanity is reduced to child's play, the indifferent genius duo Sora and Shiro have finally found a real reason to keep playing: to unite the sixteen races of Disboard, defeat Tet and become the gods of this new world where games are everything.
