The popular romance series Toradora! is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year since the release of its first light novel, but that's not the only thing the series has to cheer for, as today the Recording Industry Association of Japan announced that the second ending theme from the “Orange” series, performed by Rie Kugimiya , Eri Kitamura , and Yui Horie , has received Gold Certification for having been downloaded 100,000 times through digital music stores.
The theme song "Orange" was originally released as a single on May 27, 2009, during the broadcast of the second part of the anime Toradora! . It was then released on digital platforms on February 8, 2012, finally reaching 100,000 downloads in August 2022, more than ten years since its digital release. A remix of “Orange” was used for a promotional video celebrating the 15th anniversary earlier this year:

Synopsis for Toradora!
Ryuuji Takasu is a kind high school student who likes housework; but in contrast to his kind nature, he has an intimidating face that often gets him labeled as a delinquent. On the other hand is Taiga Aisaka, a small, doll-like student who is anything but a cute and fragile girl. Equipped with a wooden katana and a fierce personality, Taiga is known throughout the school as the "tigress of palm trees". One day, an embarrassing mistake causes the two students to cross paths. Ryuuji discovers that Taiga has a sweet side: she has a crush on the popular vice president, Yuusaku Kitamura, who happens to be her best friend.
