A press release from publisher Earth Star Entertainment reported that the light novels written by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka and illustrated by Chisato Naruse , My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered ( Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou sugite , Isekai no Yatsura ga Marude Aite ni Naranai n desu ga ), will have an anime adaptation. The statement did not reveal production details or a scheduled release date.
Fujitaka began publishing the story in 2016 through the independent service Shousetuka ni Narou , before publisher Earth Star Entertainment began publishing it on paper with illustrations by Chisato Naruse . A manga adaptation titled " My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered —AΩ " has been published on the Comic Earth Star service since 2018 by Hanamaru Nanto .

After waking up to utter chaos and carnage during a school field trip, Yogiri Takatou discovers that all of his class members have been transported to another world. Somehow, he himself managed to sleep through the entire ordeal, missing out on the powers of the gifts bestowed on others by a mysterious sage who appeared to transport them. Worse yet, he and another classmate were mercilessly abandoned by their friends, left as bait to distract a nearby dragon.
