A leak from the Weibo social network assured that the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by LLO , Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita ( Reincarnated as a Sword ), will have a second season. Although the leak is not confirmed, he assured that the announcement will be made just after the broadcast of the final episode on television, scheduled for December 21 in Japan.

In fact, this episode has already aired in advance through select streaming services in Japan, and at the end of the episode you can read a caption that reads “ To Be Continued ”. On the other hand, the work has been broadcast since October 5 on television in Japan, while HIDIVE is in charge of its distribution in the West.

Yuu Tanaka began publishing the original novels through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2015, and they are still in publication. Subsequently, it began its publication through the publisher Micro Magazine in July 2016. The work inspires its manga adaptation by Tomowo Maruyama , which has been published through the Gentosha publisher's Comic Boost service since December 2016.

Sinopsis of Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita

The hero differs from the usual protagonist of isekai stories by the fact that he is reincarnated as a sword. He begins his search for it by appearing in the middle of a forest infested with beasts, and encounters an injured girl who is frantically fleeing for her life. Saving her from her assailants, the couple meet and the girl introduces herself as Fran. She has a difficult past, as she has suffered slavery and mistreatment from her tribe, the Black Cats. As the hero is unable to remember her past life name, the strong-willed young Fran gives her the name "Shishou" and becomes her bearer. From then on, Shishou and Fran become a formidable team, embarking on missions to free the oppressed and bring justice.
