Classroom of the Elite prepares its return with exciting trailer

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Shougo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku TomoseClassroom of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e), a new promotional video for the third season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for January 3, 2024 in Japan, and shows a fragment of the musical themes that include: 

  • ZAQ will perform the opening theme titled “Minor Piece“, while Yui Ninomiya will perform the ending theme titled “Konsei Dai Kakumei” (The Great Revolution of this World)“.


It should be remembered that the premiere of this third season was scheduled for this year, but was delayed due to production issues. For their part, Shougo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose began publishing the light novels through the imprint MF Bunko J of the publisher Media Factory in May 2015. The publisher published a total of fourteen volumes (including the intermediate ones: 4.5, 7.5 and 11.5) for the “First Year Arc ”. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation released in Summer-2017 (July-September), followed by a second season of thirteen episodes released in. Summer-2022 (July-September)

Sinopsis of Classroom of the Elite

From the outside, Koudo Ikusei High School looks like a utopia. Students enjoy great freedom, and yet it is among the best institutes in Japan. However, the reality is very far from that. There are four classes, from A to D in order of merit, and only the best receive benefits. Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a student in class D, where the school sends the worst trash to him. There he meets the unsociable Suzune Horikita, who is sure she was assigned there by mistake, and wants to climb the ranks to reach Class A, and the beautiful Kikyou Kushida, whose goal is to make as many friends as possible.
