Xu Jialing, who had plans to marry her fiancé in 2024, met a tragic end when she was stabbed eight times, affecting her heart, chest and back, causing excessive bleeding. Her attacker, a 44-year-old man who had been harassing her for some time, tried to take her life after the attack and is currently undergoing medical treatment in a hospital.

On the fateful day of her death, Xu Jialing agreed to have dinner with her stalker, who had been demanding to see her for some time. The evening turned into a heated argument that culminated in the tragic attack. Witness reports led the Royal Malaysian Police to the assailant, who was transporting Xu Jialing's body in his vehicle at the time of his arrest. During the arrest, the aggressor insisted on claiming to be her boyfriend.

Before this tragic event, idol Xu Jialing was preparing to take the step towards marriage in 2024 with her longtime partner, Liu Yang. On December 19, one day after Xu Jialing's tragic loss, Liu Yang expressed her disbelief and pain on her social media. • «And that is why I always advocate that idols have security elements that are responsible for keeping any strange subject out of the way. I will never understand how you can reach such a level of obsession with a person».

  • «And that is why the security elements must be aggressive with the fans. I am very sorry for the loss to the music industry, and it breaks my heart that a nobody did something like this».

  • «And there are still people who say that “stalkers and obsessive fans are necessary for the industry”, what idiots!» .

  • «That Oshi no Ko scene really happens in real life».

  • «And people keep saying that the bodyguards are “very aggressive.” Mind your fucking business, celebrities are always in danger».

  • «My thoughts and prayers are with her family and fiancé. May exemplary punishment fall on the damned murderer».

  • «Really, harassment of celebrities is too normalized in South Korea. They should introduce very strong laws».
