“ Berserk: The Black Swordsman ,”
the long-awaited anime project from fan group Studio Eclypse ,
premiered its first main trailer around the world to a very positive reception.
Through its
official networks, Studio Eclypse published the world premiere of the first
trailer for “Berserk: The Black Swordsman”. The action-packed trailer
lasts approximately three minutes and features Guts, the legendary swordsman,
although fans can also see images of Casca, Puck and, very briefly, Griffith. The
studio also noted at the end of the trailer that " The story
begins in the summer of 2025. "
The Berserk
trailer follows months of teasers dating back at least to late last year with
the first key art for “Berserk: The Black Swordsman,” to this month with the
most recent Guts key art featuring the character dressed in his characteristic
cape and holding a crossbow. The anime project will be directed by
“Axel (@axxlg)” on Twitter, and will feature animators such as “@aledrawart”
and “@chithunderpond.”
“Berserk:
The Black Swordsman” emerged as a reaction to the lack of a proper adaptation
of the “Black Swordsman Arc,” which spans the first three volumes of the
original manga, despite numerous opportunities. In the case of Studio Eclypse,
the creators previously stated that they "intend to create a proper 2D
adaptation of the medium's forgotten stories, starting from the
beginning." This is a fan-made project with the utmost respect to the late
Kentaro Miura, Studio Gaga and Hakusensha.
Berserk
Synopsis
His name
is Guts, the Black Swordsman, a feared warrior who is only spoken of in
whispers. Bearing a gigantic sword, an iron hand, and the scars of countless
battles and torture, his flesh is also indelibly marked with The Mark, an
unholy symbol that draws the forces of darkness to him and condemns him as
their sacrifice. But Guts will not be content with his fate, but will open a
line of crimson carnage among the ranks of the damned... and anyone foolish
enough to oppose him! Accompanied by the elf Puck, who is more of a nuisance
than a companion, Guts relentlessly follows a dark, bloodstained path that
leads only to death... or revenge.
